I was inspired by a trip to Dunhuang, Silk Road last year and painted this "Faithful and True" . In 366AD, travelling monks from the West to China to teach Buddhism started digging caves from the Mogao cliff and built shrines. Over thousands year, more than 800 Mogao caves were constructed in Dunhuang during different Chinese Dynasties. Besides building shrines in these caves, artists started making painted clay stucco sculpture, wall painting and murals, mainly in images of Buddhism and all kinds of gods and goddess. After brief reading about Mogao Caves and Christianity, there are indeed evidence of Christianity in some of the cave paintings. I have painted the "Faithful and True" showing that Jesus is the only God, He is the creator of this world.

John 14:6 Jesus said: "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"
